Information for Parade Participation

Parade Rules

1. The Gulf Coast Veterans Parade is a family friendly, non-partisan, non-political event, and may not be used as a platform for campaigns or political candidate signs.  Current offices held may be identified, but no “vote for”, “elect”, or “support” signs allowed.

​2. Public and private businesses/entities, and non-profits are welcome to show their support of veterans with signage on their parade vehicles, floats or while marching, etc. Throws of patriotic articles (red, white, blue) beads, candy, stress balls, etc. to veterans and parade viewers is encouraged. However, the parade will not be used solely for unassociated organization promotion, but rather for the benefit and recognition of veterans. Therefore, distribution of organization promotional flyers or handouts is not permitted.

3. Unless there is an emergency, no one is allowed to get on or off a float or entry once it has started down the parade route.

4. This is a forward-motion parade. No backward motion is permitted during the parade.

​​​

5. Brief stops during the parade for dance routines and/or band maneuvering must be approved by the Parade Captain or designated parade committee member.

6. A review stand will be placed along the parade route in for recognition of parade entries and brief performances.

​​

7. All units must keep pace with the units in front of them.

​​

8. All units should leave appropriate interval between themselves and the next unit (3 to 5 car lengths).

9. Intervals must not be more than 5 car lengths. Vehicles must proceed all the way, safely, past the end of the parade route before stopping and unloading.

10. All vehicles must be operated by a licensed driver over the age of 18 and have in the vehicle documented proof of liability insurance during the entire parade.

11. Children riding on a float/trailer/vehicle must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

​​

12. Animals must be kept on a leash or other restraint. Entrants are not permitted to allow animals to have any contact with parade spectators. Liability for animals’ actions is the responsibility of the animal owner.

​​

13. Floats and vehicle decorations should have patriotic themes. Decorative materials must be flame retardant.

14. Vehicles and floats can use amplified sound systems for music.

2026 D'Iberville Parade Route

Saturday, November 7, 11am

  • Parade will begin at 11am at D'Iberville Warrior Stadium.

  • ​Parade will travel West on Warrior Rd. to Lamey Bridge Rd.

  • Parade will turn South on Lamey Bridge Rd.

  • Parade will travel approx. 1 mile on Lamey Bridge Rd.

  • Parade will turn Northeast at Race Track Rd. & Gorenflo Rd.

  • Parade will travel to the D'Iberville Town Green where it will end.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Gulf Coast Veterans Parade, Inc. plans and organizes the event every year. It is a non-political, family friendly event. Our organization is an all-volunteer 501c3 nonprofit, and is hosted by one of the three Mississippi Gulf Coast cities on an annual rotation: Gulfport, Biloxi and D'Iberville. Costs of the parade are supported and paid for by sponsorships, private and in-kind donations, and volunteers.

  • There are parking lots in downtown D'Iberville along or near the parade route with handicapped parking available. Some viewing areas will be reserved near the review stand. If you need assistance, please contact an on‐site parade staff member with a name badge or a police officer.

  • It starts promptly at 11am. The exact time the parade progresses to your location may vary depending on the final number of parade entries, but parade typically ends at around 12:30 at farthest point from parade start.

    Please allow ample time before and after for parking, and/or walking to the location you’d prefer to view the parade.

  • VISITOR PARKING is on a “first-come, first-serve” basis on the side streets around the parade route, so please come early and allow ample time to navigate crowds.

     

    To find out the “side streets” where you can park and weave your way towards the parade, please look at the route closure map. It will tell you where the parade is, what streets close at what times and lists the side streets for you to access to find parking and then make your way into the parade route.

  • The 26th Annual Gulf Coast Veterans Parade is scheduled for Saturday, November 7th 2026 in D'Iberville, MS.

  • Entry is free, and the parade is also free and open to the public.
    We are thankful for the community support we receive each year.
    We rely on donations and sponsors to produce the parade. Donors can be sponsors at several levels. The Sponsor page contains information for corporate and business participation.

  • The staging area check-in will begin across from D'Iberville High School Warrior Stadium at approximately 9am for an 11am start.

  • Parade staging will begin at approximately 9am to prepare for an 11am start

  • Some food and drink will be available for JROTC groups and youth marchers.
